Live Auctions

How live streaming auctions work for buyers and sellers on pallet.bid.

How It Works

Live auctions combine real-time video streaming with instant bidding. Sellers showcase items on camera while buyers bid from anywhere. It's like being at an in-person auction from the comfort of your home.

Live Video Stream

Sellers stream live video showing each lot in real-time. Watch items up close, ask questions in chat, and bid with confidence.

Real-Time Bidding

Bid against other buyers in real-time. See the current high bid, number of bidders, and place your bids instantly.

Popcorn Timer

Each lot has a countdown timer. If a bid is placed in the final seconds, the timer extends — ensuring every bidder gets a fair chance.

Instant Results

When the timer hits zero, the highest bidder wins immediately. Payment is charged automatically to your card on file.

All Bids Are Binding

Every bid is a commitment to buy. Your card on file is charged automatically when you win. No backing out.

Multiple Lots Per Session

Sellers can run multiple lots in a single live session. Stay for the whole show or drop in for specific items.

For Buyers

  1. Add a payment method — You need a card on file before you can bid in any live auction.
  2. Join a live session — Browse active live auctions and click to join. The video stream and chat load automatically.
  3. Place your bids — Use the bid panel to place bids in real-time. The current high bid updates instantly for all viewers.
  4. Win and pay — If you're the highest bidder when the timer ends, you win. Your card is charged automatically (item price + 10% buyer's premium + shipping + tax + CC processing fee).
  5. Track your shipment — After payment, a shipping label is created and you'll receive tracking information.

For Sellers

  1. Create your lots — Set up the items you want to sell in your live session. Add photos, descriptions, and starting prices.
  2. Schedule your session — Pick a date and time. Your scheduled live auction will appear on the platform for buyers to see.
  3. Go live — Start your stream using your camera. Show items, engage with viewers, and manage lots from your seller dashboard.
  4. Manage lots — Open lots for bidding one at a time. Set timers and watch bids come in real-time.
  5. Ship and get paid — After the session, ship sold items. Payouts are processed to your connected Stripe account.
